Jennifer Jernigan (b. 1989), from Scurry, Texas, is a BFA candidate at The University of Texas at Tyler and is expected to graduate in Fall 2024. She specializes in figurative ceramic sculpture and with each piece she strives to capture the emotionality of a moment in an abstract situation. She primarily hollow builds her sculptures with paper clay and uses underglaze and other unconventional finishes. Jennifer has led a figurative ceramic workshop for the Department of Art and Art History’s Annual High School Recruiting event for the past two years. She is also the current President of the Studio Art and Art History Student Association.
